What I do...
I produce music under the name Astara. I grew up in New York City. I have spent a lot of time in Tennessee as well: the latter being my current base of operations. My music integrates the club-facing grooves I came to know and love in New York with lyrical storytelling. The lyrical influences come from Americana and roots genres: traditions which I have cherished since childhood.
What I stand for...
Beyond my music, I see myself as a builder. When we build projects with thoughtful design and care, I believe we make this world a little bit better. Whether that’s a small business or a music project, building something—and doing it the right way—is a worthwhile endeavor.

I have been fortunate enough to learn from some of the best musicians and teachers in the industry. Their guidance has helped me grow as an artist. Now, I am committed to returning the favor by helping aspiring artists and all those who seek a little clarity and guidance along the way.
